Heavy Metals: Your Circulation Nightmare

By definition “heavy metals” are metals or metallic compounds that
negatively affect the health of humans.  All living organisms
require varying amounts of some heavy metals.  The human body needs
iron, cobalt, copper, manganese, molybdenum, and zinc for optimal
health and metabolism.  Certain other heavy metals such as mercury,
plutonium, and lead are toxic to humans.  Even those heavy metals
that are beneficial to you can cause harm if they are used or
consumed in excessive amounts.  The main threats to human safety
and health come from the heavy metals lead, cadmium, mercury, and
arsenic.  Each heavy metal affects the human body in many different
ways.  In the remainder of this article you will find information
that will tell you how some heavy metals affect your heart,
breathing, and overall circulation.

Cadmium compounds are mainly used in re-chargeable batteries:
however, cigarette smoke is a major source of exposure, and , to
some extent, food.  Food is affected because of there is very
little recycling of cadmium batteries and it runs off from
landfills into surface water.  Cadmium causes kidney damage, bone
defects, and an increase in fractures.  The kidney damage and
defects in bones and bone marrow will cause circulation problems.
In general, people are exposed to mercury through the foods that
they eat.  Fish is the main food source that contains the methyl
mercury.  To a much smaller extent, dental amalgam can be linked to
mercury exposure.

The main side effects of mercury exposure are in
the nervous system.  Pregnant women should be especially wary of
freshwater fish that have been caught because of the high mercury
in them.  The mercury will cause birth defects.  Mercury will cause
muscle weakness and loss of muscle control.  The muscle weakness
affects the heart, lungs, and blood circulation.  Lead exposure is
generally found in the air and food in equal parts.  Lead emissions
into the air have caused wide spread pollution.  Gasoline and
lead-based paint are the two major sources of exposure.

While paint manufactured since 1978 does not contain lead, older
homes may still have walls painted with contaminated products.  An
unexpected source of lead is glazed food containers.  The side
effects of lead exposure are mainly neurological in nature.  They
are very similar to mercury exposure.  Lead can cause kidney damage
and anemia.  Arsenic, the last of the heavy metals, and arguably
the most common, is the most dangerous.  The major sources are
food, drinking water, and work environments. Hard to get away from
isn’t it.  Arsenic can penetrate rubber or latex gloves and is
easily absorbed by your skin.

Arsenic is especially dangerous because it binds with your
hemoglobin and prevents your red blood cells from absorbing oxygen.
It will cause your blood cells to rupture and then muscle cells will
begin to die from the lack of oxygen. Your heart muscle will weaken
leading to poor circulation.

Long term, or extreme, exposure will cause heart failure from
oxygen deprivation.  Arsenic has been linked to dozens of different
types of cancer.  The food sources that contain arsenic are too
numerous to list.  Most water sources contain some arsenic because
of run-off of pesticides used in farming or pollution from industry
and fossil fuel use.

All of these heavy metals have one thing in common.  They are a
nightmare for your circulation.  By blocking red blood cells from
picking up oxygen, they essentially strangle your cells and kill
them off.  Thankfully, we are aware of where our heavy metal threat
comes from.  That enables you to minimize your risks for health
damage.  Watching what you eat and knowing the source of the food
are essential.  Stop smoking and avoid second hand smoke.  Check
your local water supply.  The EPA requires testing and the results
are available to the public.  Another good point is that there are
several diets available that focus on the cleansing of your body of
heavy metals.  Severe cases will require medical treatment, but for
most of you a change in lifestyle and diet will prevent heavy
metals from becoming your circulation nightmare.

  1. Heavy metals sometimes enter tap water from lead and copper pipes and from solder used to join the pipes. Vitamin

  2. Acids, like acid rain, coffee or tomato sauce render aluminum water soluble. I advise strongly against using aluminum cookware because of this. Aluminum has been found in high concentration in the damaged portions of the brains of Alzheimer’s victims. The aluminum industry is owned by the same lovely folks who own the government, and have “scientists” on their grants who will say that “…has never been proven”.(That phrase is a marker for propaganda; NOTHING has ever been proven outside of analytic geometry.)

A big source of mercury is the highly soluble ethyl mercury used as a preservative(supposedly) in vaccines. Hospital size containers can be HALF filled with ethyl mercury. There is no reason whatever to vaccinate babies, because they have no immune systems to be activated yet, but they’re even more vulnerable to the nerve damage induced by mercury. Do some research on vaccinations to make an informed decision. Anybody trying to force one me will have a very unpleasant experience. If you must vaccinate, which I don’t believe at all, get it from a private physician and a small, one dose vial.

Since I know that Congress has been informed for twenty years of the nerve, bone, and dental damage, and carcinogenic properties of fluorides in water, yet have done little more than turn it over for further study by the lobbyists of agribusiness(for whom it’s an expensive to dispose of waste product), I have absolutely ZERO faith in our government’s intention to protect public health. The CDC recently suggested not using fluoridated water in infant formulas. Whoop de doo! It may still be a required ingredient in ALL bottled and public water supplies in Kalifornia.( It was originally used by the Nazis to dumb down and render docile the people in the work camps and the Warsaw ghetto. Their scientific, security, and espionage “communities” were imported into the US after the war in “Operation Paperclip”, to keep them out of Soviet hands. Klaus Barbie and Werner Von Braun were two among a throng.)

  3. Dave, I’m waiting for your article on REMOVING heavy metals from the body…..

As an RN with diagnosed heavy metal toxicity based on labs from an IV chelation challenge, I have spent a fair amount of time researching what to do about my health challenge: weight loss has always made me feel worse -sometimes dangerously ill - and now I understand why. “Getting the lead out” - though in my case, a potpourri of other metals - is going to be important in preserving health during weight loss. Sorry for the informal list-off-the-top-of-my-head, but this information is greatly needed, and you have a wide readership that could benefit. Check out some of the ways that people are coping with heavy metal toxicity, there may be one or two on the list you have not yet heard of.

    IV Chelation
    Bentonite baths (www.evenbetternow.com)
Biochelat (Same website as above, oral drops, clinically tested in Germany, safe for children)
    Far infrared saunas
    Far infrared-herbal patches
Waiora’s NCD (a specially processed Zeolite)
    Bentonite internally
    Cilantro
    Chlorella
    Seaweeds in general
Miso soup (protects against radiation fallout)
Other lacto-fermented foods, including apple cider vinegar - the Braggs wrote a book on this that mentions its ability to remove toxins
Miracle 2 baths (agent orange sufferers experienced great relief after using this)
Miracle 2 Neutralizer, internally and externally
    Caution in using inexpensive cookware
Availability of testing kits to see if bad metals come off when mild acidic or mild alkaline solutions are heated in the pan
(Several pieces of my cookware, including expensive enamelled cast iron, tested positive on 1 or more toxic heavy metals)
Low reactivity of 316 stainless of products like Saladmaster cookware (approved by Dr. Robert Young, among others. Also, my husband is in the electrical industry and he immediately understood why it is a much less reactive metal than 304 stainless steel and lower qualities, such as 18/10 and 18/0). I corresponded briefly with a woman whose IBS went away after she started cooking only in Saladmaster cookware. My theory is that the lower cooking temp may have preserved the nutrients in her food better than at standard cooking temps, and/or she decreased her exposure to toxic metals.
Not everyone is equally equipped to deal with heavy metals, that there are enzymes that handle this job. If the enzymes are lacking, the person is more vulnerable to damaging exposure. I have yet to hear about enzyme supplements that claim to target this problem, but if anyone has it, I suspect the Pfeiffer Treatment Center would. I haven’t had time yet to follow up that possible lead.

The cookware factor possibly explains one more reason why people who embark on raw diets experience tremendous benefits, know many personally. But when I lost 30 lbs on a raw, vegan diet, I felt extremely ill and my kidneys and hydration were totally messed up. I think it is because I failed to follow the plan and have daily rejuvelac (Lactofermented rye or wheat water) and wheatgrass juice, both of which would have helped protect me from heavy metal toxins being eliminated.

Aajonus Vonderplanitz’ primal diet, which includes raw animal protein and raw animal fat, really raw honey, raw butter/cream/milk, has had amazing results for many, in addition to helping him send lymphocytic leukemia into remission for 35 years, and helping him survive amanita mushroom poisoning, and helping his son return from a death sentence after a car accident left him in a coma with brain damage. A bit bizarre sounding, but perhaps he has a point when he claims that raw fats play a key role in transporting toxins out of our body.
(www.wewant2live.com has first 5 chapters of his first book, I have read both of his books and find them full of challenging ideas - in the light of his healing stories, perhaps there is something to it.)

The book, “Eric is Winning,” is about a man diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) back in the early 90’s, and he is alive and fairly well today: while not fully functioning, he has actually made tremendous improvements, and one of the strategies that was significant in his improvements was heavy metal removal approaches. He should not even be alive today, much less talking and moving.

  4. You are very correct….The question is how much does it really take? I vote not much
